Inspired by the Mexican celebration of boys and ghouls past, I fashioned baking sugars and flowers into a sugar skull for Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Beyond having a beautiful still, I chose to animate the sugar by hand to resurrect my destructed lettering and bring the final image to life.
